Behind every professional there’s a story.
Olmo always dreamt of creating a company before he had teeth. At age 15, he became president of a charitable organization that created editorial projects for NGOs. Later, he opened an animal shelter and a signage company. When he crossed paths and worked with Oliver, both decided to create Bold, which he has lead creatively for more than 10 years now.
Nowadays, his work at Bold has spread and also includes teaching at different universities and design schools. His position has even taken him to be the co-director of one of the first Master’s on challenging branding in Spain
Oliver is what we call Bold’s Achilles, the one to open a thousand creative roads for the rest of the graphic team. His passion for his job made him work at three places at the same time for a while. When he met Olmo, both of them started a project together, which in time became Bold.
10 years later, he continues as Bold’s art director, as well as a known professional who teaches at different universities and design schools. He’s also a photographer, and has showcased his work in Lisboa, San Sebastian and Barcelona.
Hèctor is like a song by Johnny Cash, calm but steady. He’s been growing for years, trying to absorb as much knowledge as he could working on content departments, native digital agencies, strategic planning and even creating his own start-up (at the age of 21). He’s always tried to balance strategy and creativity to offer the best of both worlds.
As the company’s head of strategy, he’s in charge of ensuring consistence and coherence through the process.
Irene has been a storyteller since she was a child. And she’s always known she would work with stories some way or another. After she graduated on Advertising, she started working on market research while she was doing a Master’s on brand management and strategy. And then she enrolled on an MBA.
She’s Bold’s Insight and Innovation Strategist, but also much more, as she spent years helping many start-ups promote their projects and thrive. Her dream is to write a book or a movie script.
Carlos is a wanderer. He’s been acquiring professional experiences in different sectors (communication, advertising, translation, journalism, gastronomy), even publishing a book, until he finally settled in at the branding industry, bringing along his versatility and global vision.
He is Bold’s brand writer. Not a wizard with words. Not a would-be writer turned copy. Just the guy who combines strategy and literature to create the brand’s voice, tone and messages.
José is an illustrator-turned-animator and motiongrapher. His background in Fine Arts has always given him a special eye to animate objects and make them come to life. Thanks to this approach and his work with renowned illustrators, he’s received several international awards in animation, on top of being a lecturer at Elisava design school.
He’s a lover from the Canary Islands carnival (he was born in Tenerife), sports (he practices mugendo everyday and plays football twice a week) and high class mojitos.
